I've always been interested in the traveling mini altars that you can set up on the go. Lately I haven't been keeping any altars, but I'm the past I've had altars set up for creativity and inner child work. I love the tips you shared!
Have you ever done the altoid tin altars? I could send you a couple tins. I bought them almost a decade ago for an after school program where we made mini ofrendas.
I was really happy with my altar set up at my old house, I had different shelves for different purposes. One was more permanent and one was seasonal.
I don’t quite have it sussed at the new place! My most used ‘altar’ is my TV unit as I have my tarot compartment, have decorated for autumn and next to it I have plants and my crystal grids and displays. It is practical because I use the TV for yoga and meditation but I don’t like the TV having a focal point?!?
My bedroom altar is a unit with drawers and cupboards where I keep all my witch s*** but the top lacks focus because I don’t actually use it as a focus 😬
I missssss my built in shelves at my apartment. I had 4 altars there, and it’s where I kept my extensive rock and shell collection.
I have our family hearth next to the tv because that’s where it makes the most sense, and I agree. It’s weird have the tv be right there. But I have a large jar candle to the left of the tv in the corner of the tv stand so it feels a little separated from the tv.
I’ve yet to figure out seasonal altars which is bananas because I’m so aware of the seasons.
I hope you can get your new place feeling the way you want 🥰
