I picked up The Light Between Us from the library and although it seems like just the kind of book I would like I just couldn’t get into it, maybe I’ll try the audiobook.
My favourite books over the winter period are (in order of reading)
* Kingdom of Ash - Sarah J Maas- Such an epic ending of a series, I was crying every other chapter.
* Frankenstein - Mary Shelley - I have seen movies based on the book and thought I knew the story but reading the original was amazing! I also went to a Mary Shelley museum which was fascinating.
* Maybe a Fox Kathi Appelt- A children’s book but full of so much emotion and spirituality.
* Unbowed - A memoir by Wangari Maathai. I am going to Kenya in September so want to immerse myself in the culture. This book was beyond amazing! Interesting, sad and empowering. What a woman!
* Don’t Let the Forest In- CG Drews - Very dark but a great read
I am on Crown of Midnight in that series! I’ll definitely have to check out Maybe A Fox and Unbowed. I always loved sharing the Vooks (books turned into video) version of Wangari’s Trees of Peace with my students. I’d love to read an adult version of her story. Thanks for sharing 😍
Definitely adding 3 and 4 to my list. 2 has been on my shelf for some years.
I thought of you as I was reading Big Magic! It absolutely has your energy ✨
It has been recommended to me a lot. I haven’t been drawn to read it
Everything in its own time! I have had books that don’t get read for years until one day it’s time.
