As mentioned in my Daily Tarot Practice post, I use The Guardian of the Night Tarot each morning for daily messages. A couple of my favorite cards in this deck are The Magician and the Three of Cups.
I pulled the Three of Cups yesterday, and for the first time, I had this image of the two cards next to each other. I saw the connection between The Magician and Three of Cups. One is not whole without the other. We cannot learn in isolation. The Magician cannot be sufficient, especially not as a raccoon, without its community, its nursery. (Ok, but how ADORABLE is the image of a nursery of raccoons?!)
We learn through talking with others. We learn from watching others. We learn from interaction. Humans are inherently social, and we learn so much from being in community.
The magic of The Magician cannot happen without the connection and community of their friends, their mentors, their loved ones. For those of us that learn especially well through emotional connection, this part is key. I can’t remember a thing if I don’t have some form of emotion attached to it, and sometimes I’m actually coming away with something that was not even the lesson target because I’ve had an emotional reaction to something outside of that. Building lessons and knowledge through passion, love, care, and joy is an important step in The Magician’s magic.
I have learned so much from my IG community about tarot, authenticity, courage, and creativity. If this quick little love note from me to you made an impact, feel free to share it! Help our community grow.
