Love this! Iām so happy that you are creating your home, it is so important to have that space and you should be proud š I have just bought a triple set of Arin Murphy-Hiscock books in a good deal and will be reading The House Witch soon, I started with The Green Witch.
I have never really vibed with Goddesses, I love the mythology but have only felt the call once and nothing really came from it. It was a Brigid during an Imbolc ritual which is my favourite celebration of the year but I am exploring this again
So Brigid has been on my radar for years, and hereās a sneak peek for you and anyone else who reads this: the next collage I did was for her because I realized that Hestia is for the domesticity but not for the creative hearth I create in my office. If you end up working with Brigid, lmk! She seems suuuuuper easy to get in contact with. Imbolc is my favorite day of the year because it means winter is halfway over, and there is still hope of the sun returning. So I love Imbolc. If you grew up in the church, Brigid is also an easy entry point because the church co-opted her.
Iād love to see the collage when you are ready! I agree, Brigid seems like an easy and gentle connection to a spiritual realm and with my Irish heritage it makes sense. Although from research she is more connected to fire or water I always feel a connection with her and the wind?!? Iāll let you know how I get on x
Yes! Fire and Water, but air is in every element ever. And honestly, Brigid, from what Iāve gathered, is a mother of change. Right? She brings the first signs of spring throughout February: lambing season, andromeda, snow drops, and crocus blooms. So wind makes sense to me. And hereās the thing, all of this work is personal. She is also the daughter of The Morrigan who is fire and air with her crow shifting and war through communication and language. It would make sense that Brigid would have some of her mother in her as well. I canāt wait to hear how this develops for you š

You are so right! It is personal work and if it feels right then it is š
