Welcome to the 2nd Annual Small Business Saturday Love Letter!
We have people who are in dire need of traffic to their pages. I have artists whose work makes for perfect small gifts if you’re on a budget. The difference between buying from the and Amazon, Shein, or Temu is you’re literally keeping domestic artists housed, fed, and safe. We are on a lifesaving, dream catching mission over here.
I know that shopping small isn’t going to work for everyone’s budget, but see what $5-15 items you can switch out this year to help make an artist’s holiday season BRIGHT.
Sassyverse Shop
First up, we have my one and only love
. There are MANY ways to support them this year: Patreon, Ko-Fi, YouTube, Substack. They are a Black, queer artist, content creator, and all around genuinely compassionate and loving human being.Over on Sassy’s Ko-Fi shop, you can order stickers and prints that they have HAND PAINTED and made into items you can enjoy. They have painted all of the above by hand. Come and visit their shop and fall -in love- with the OC babes. Also, tell me which one you love the most: Garden Witch Babe, Moody Magic Babe (aka SCORPIOOOOOOO), Bookish Babe. Don’t forget to pick up your Pride Stickers!!! Pride is every day, not just in June.
Average Price: $5-15 for HANDMADE items.
Rana The Artist
Next up, we have Rana. If you do not already know, Rana is raising funds to get to safer housing. Please, please, please support her work so she can remain housed! Winter is no time to be messing around with the elements. She is a Black, disabled digital artist who runs a sticker shop in her studio apartment with her dog Brownie.
If you have ever really looked at my oracle portals or my gallery wall, you will notice a LOT of work by Rana. Rana’s art is bright and beautiful. She is self taught, and she even hosts Procreate classes for beginners. I would highly recommend taking one. I’ve taken it twice… I’m a slow learner 🤓
Ways to support Rana: Shop, Patreon, PayPal. Direct support allows Rana to take care of immediate bills and options for housing. Thank you!
Average price for items: $5-15 for digital art stickers and prints.
Brandy Was Here
is a visionary, a creative, a thinker, a doer. She is an April Aries EMBODIED. She has a podcast here on Substack. It is under her paid subscriber option. Subscribe for free for some great business tips and tricks! You can also gift a subscription to others!Price: $8/mo
Harvest Yarns
Sabrina is a self-taught crocheter. She is another Black artist whose shop could use some love. She makes amigurumi of the fandom type but also teddy bears, rabbits, etc. I have many of her creations including one of her handmade blankets. She also sells crochet patterns. Supporting her supports a stable home, medical costs, and other costs of living. Your package will come quickly and packed in a very intentional and cute way! My two favorite hats are from her, and I even commissioned her to make 2 more hats for my partner this year because he has worn his other two so much they’re becoming worn.
You can stay up to date with Sabrina on YouTube, IG, and Etsy
Price Range: $5 for patterns. $25-160 for crocheted items, all handmade.
The Oracle Portal
Lastly, we have me! I have so many things up for grabs in my shop. They’re all on the “this is a close family member or friend” side of the spending scale, but you can gift your friend a reading, an oracle portal, a journal kit, or a crystal! I will be having a 20% off sale on my shop until Saturday. Code: 20OFF. The New Moon is on Sunday, so if you want a new moon reading, look for that 20% off to save some money!
You can also become a paid subscriber here on Substack. I give the paid tier a 5-card zodiac season spread for $5/mo.
Price Range: $13-50
What small shops are your favorites? Leave them below so we can share the love!
