New Moon in Taurus

Beginnings

Every new moon, we are offered a new beginning. My new beginnings on this New Moon in Taurus involved a personal day and a hike through the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. This first Substack is a dedication to my commitment to The Oracle Portal and The Oracle Portal Community.

Grabbing The Bull By Its Horns

As I contemplate on this New Moon, I am thinking hard about intention setting, how to hold myself accountable, and really grounding into what is important to me. As I traipsed through The Giff today, I realized that this summer, I want to make an effort to get out and commune with nature 3-4 times per week. This time is so important to me, my mental health, and the clarity I seek for life.

Another thought that came to me today is that community is important to me. I would not be where I am in my spiritual journey without the Instagram community I have fallen so in love with. That being said, I am finding it increasingly more difficult to engage with the community as the platform continues to shift and change.

I can not wait to connect with people here. I can not wait to see your thoughts, your words, your photos, your videos. I want the communities of old. The days where we could see each other’s photos, captions, and we would engage and have conversations rather than just binging and moving to the next thing.

Join me in slowing down, finding intentionality through photography, nature, divination, and conversation.

Intentions

As we move out of the school year and into summer, my intention is to be posting weekly. There will be posts for the new and full moons, of course.

I won’t stop at the moon cycles though. My ever evolving connection with the divine feminine has been begging to be shared for months. This will include what my practice looks like, and how I deepen it through routine and daily rituals.

Natural water source and chilling out under a tree are ways that I also tap into my spirituality. Under this new moon today, I am recommitting myself to not spiritually bypassing so there will be hard conversations and posts that require discomfort and deep reflection. I do much of this thinking with the comfort of creeks, rivers, the ocean, and my trusty trees.

My final intention is to continue to learn, to grow, to expand. I wish to share this learning and these lessons with you all and hear about your lessons and teachings as well. A conversation requires more than one. I want this space to be a conversation, not a monologue.
