Hello, everyone!
It’s been a longer break than I intended, but sometimes a reset is necessary. I have been baking and resting. I have also picked back up my cross stitching practice, inspired heavily by Persephone’s Descent. We are in week 2 and setting up our altars. Super grateful to the two people in the Discord! While we are a small group, I feel like depth is happening.
Every once in a while I get a stalker card or two when I pull my tarot cards. This week, it seems to be Temperance. I have also been trying to use more decks that I don’t often use, and their wisdom has been on it!
This should be a pretty short love letter as I get back in the swing of things, but I wanted to pop in, say hi, and share some early fall colors with you all.
Temperance
When I saw this card on Monday, I realized that it was Nana. She is a Sagittarius, and Temperance is the Saj card. It was a lovely message because I hadn’t even been using the deck I use for ancestral communication. Then today, as I caught up on the countless tarot spreads I’ve been procrastinating on, I pulled Temperance two more times using two different decks.
The lesson is clear: Alchemy requires balance. Before Libra season is over, find that balance so Scorpio season can transform you.
The Magician
You are only as strong, capable, “good” as the tools you have now. Forgo best for growth. Live as you are now knowing that more tools will come your way.
Signs
Your guides will speak to you through your cards even if it is just as a “hello.” Since Persephone’s Descent starting, I have seen Persephone in many of my cards. She has shown up as the willow, the rabbit, the bat, figures with peonies, and of course, the pomegranate. Today, Artemis and Hekate showed up again. Tune into your cards. They are waiting for you to tap into their full potential.
Ace of Cups
This card has also been coming up for me more and more. I always interpret it as gratitude and the need to fill our cups. It is more than that though. It is a reminder of spirituality and how powerful our spiritual practices can be in filling our cups. This was my message today from my ancestors, and it helps me connect to them because many of them were very Christian, which I struggle with. What connects us though is the devotion to our practices. They read The Bible. I light candles and talk to their spirits.
When things get hard, redundant, or spark apathy, come back to your spirituality. No one is going to be mad at you for leaving. They’ll just be happy that you’ve returned.
No, I haven’t moved on from this yet because the lessons are still coming it. Results require consistency. Take a break, but come back. Aspirations do not grow from nothing. They grow from dedication and consistency.
What lessons have you gotten from your cards recently?
Wishing you well this week! May your life offer what you need in this moment.
With love,
Aventurine ✨
The High Priestess has always been one of my cards that calls to me but in the last couple of weeks she has come up in reverse a few times. I feel like I am going with my intuition so I have asked for a clarifying card and I have got The Devil, The Tower and The Fool. This really fits with how my journey is going with Persephone’s Descent as I feel like I need to start a new journey, with different beliefs and habits.
Lovely photos, as always! I haven't used my tarot decks in some time (I've been using an oracle deck), but your post inspires me to return to them! The eight of pentacles message resonates a lot with what I've been reflecting on this week.
