Happy Monday!
This will be a quick little love letter. In February, I will be hosting a group coaching opportunity over on Discord for connecting with the goddess Brigid. As always, I am offering the prompts for free so people can work independently and without the financial impact. That being said, if you are looking for accountability, guidance, and a chance to build a community around this goddess and spiritual work, you can sign up here on Ko-Fi. This group coaching option also comes with a PDF zine that you can print out as many times as you want.
Brigid is a Celtic goddess of fire, healing, blacksmithing, battle, poetry, music, and birth. She is multifaceted, and she really inhabits the duality of the divine feminine. There is the fire of action, the water of the arts, healing, and birth. We will be focusing on these 2 elements, our relationship to them, and our relationship to them via Brigid.
On 1/31 or 2/1, leave a shawl or scarf outside or on an altar for Brigid to bless for the year. I have been leaving out and using the scarf that
crocheted for me. Now it’s extra protected and enveloped in loveIn week 1, we will be meeting Brigid, getting know her, ourselves, and noticing if we have any past traumas regarding her. She is big in the Catholic Church so there might be some nerves that are hit. I am not a mental health professional so I will not be giving advice. I will just be holding space for processing. If you are feeling like something is cracking, please reach out for professional support.
In week 2, we will be exploring water, writing, and our connection to these things. There is a softness to Brigid that the Catholic Church really glommed on to. They made our brave, daring, creative, Brigid into a symbol of purity and chastity. Water is purifying, but it does not equate to chastity and purity in the patriarchal sense. Water is wild, free, and expansive.
In week 3, we will be working with fire. Fire is action, motivation, creativity in a much more physical way. We will be looking at fire, Brigid, and ourselves. Feel free to journal without guidance or help, or maybe you’ll feel drawn to a divination tool.
Finally, we will be looking for Brigid in nature as a whole. She is water. She is fire. She is also earth. She is a triple goddess, but not in the sense of maiden, mother crone, but instead elementally, and I love that for her… and US!
I really, really look forward to working with you. If this is not for you, but you know someone who WOULD be interested, please pass along this love letter. You can sign up for group coaching here.
These cross stitched astrology minis are coming to Ko-Fi. Follow there to keep up with my newest offerings. I still have cross stitched energy goddesses available for your wall or altar, along with crystals, and journal packs. The new moon is happening on Wednesday. If you’d like a new moon reading, you can get one here. My babies go in for their neuter next month, and Leo’s will cost an extra $600 because his little testes did not descend properly. If you see anything you’ve been wanting, now would be the time to support!
Please let me know if you have any questions. I am curious if any of you already have an established practice with Brigid? If not, are you interested in Her? What deities (if any) do you work with?
Wishing you well this week! May your life offer what you need in this moment.
With love,
Aventurine ✨
So excited to join you for this!
If anyone reading this is wondering whether they should join for the Group Coaching, I urge you to give it a go! I joined for Persephone’s Descent last year and found the whole process so engaging. Having a group to talk about my daily experiences was really helpful and it really kept me accountable.
