If you opened this love letter and said, “Why is there a dog?” That would also be my question, and it was my question when I opened the car door on Saturday morning. This is Tucker. He is my hiking buddy’s newest nephew, and he is not leash trained at all. His mom is an awful dog mom for it. Please for the love of everything good and great, train your dogs!
Tucker is part cat and loves to be on your lap. He had never been hiking before, and he was out of his mind with excitement. My body hurts from helping to walk him on such unstable ground, but I am glad he got to drink waterfall water and sniff all the sniffs.
Dogs and I are not friends. We can be fine acknowledging each other with a glance and moving forward. Tucker and I had many struggles as he’d try to lick my face with his stanky breath. We made it through, and he would panic if I got too far ahead. We’re cool.
The highlight of my week last week was indeed not the dog, but the fact that I had 4 kittens touching me AT ONCE! Look at themmmm! They’re now 7 weeks old, and I just can’t wait to have my babies with me all the time. I am so smitten and in love. My visit with them this week lasted 2.5 hours because Scrappy and Frances fell asleep on me, and I didn’t have the heart to move them. I apologized profusely for overstaying.
Fluffy and Scrappy have found a home. They’re going to their foster mama’s sister’s house, which I am so excited about! That means Foster Mama can go and visit them and love on them forever. My heart is just so excited!
If you’re here for some journal prompts, they’re below. If you’re here for kitten photos, they are also below. Enjoy!

How does your nervous system respond to criticism, feedback, rejection Think about it through the lens of physical, emotional, and spiritual responses.

What have you learned about yourself this month? What action do you wan to take to improve? What are you content with? How has a month of journaling (or self reflection) impacted you?
What intentions do you want to set for June or this upcoming New Moon?
What are you grateful for? How does that gratitude manifest in your body?
Today, I am grateful for 2 days of hiking, everyone who supports me here and on Ko-Fi, having stable enough income for food, shelter, utilities, and to support my friends when they need help. Sundays are my day for gratitude. I challenge you to pick a day each week for a gratitude practice and see how it feels for you.
The New Moon in Gemini is on Thursday. If you are interested in a 6 Deck reading, you can sign up here. It comes with a PDF that can be used for journaling, collaging, as an altar, etc. It is a heck of a deal at only $28 for about 2 hours of my time. You can sign up on Ko-Fi as a monthly subscriber to get a 30% discount. If you’re not interested, but you know someone who might be, feel free to share the link!
I have 2.5 more weeks of the school year, and I am eagerly counting down the days. Once we are done, I get to go pick up the babies and bring them home.

Wishing you well this week! May your life offer what you need in this moment.
With love,
