Was this Full Moon a doozy for anyone else? I had a wonderful day exploring tea shops in town, reading, enjoying myself, and I ended up coming home and just crying. I cried and cried and cried. Even my showering trick to stop crying did not work. It was the full moon of myth for me this time around.
According to the cards that I pulled for folks over on the Sassyverse Pod IG, it was going to be an intense one for many others too. I wanted to just do a quick recap for you of the community energies that I was seeing within the cards.
If you have been in the Sassy_Latte community at all, you know that intuition is high over there. In the little sub community of Sassyverse Pod, the intuitive game is strong. The High Priestess (HP) came up in 25% of the readings I did.
This full moon for about a quarter of us was calling directly on us to use our intuition, to get in touch with our higher selves, and really tune in. The intuitive messaging did not stop there though.
Of the messages I pulled, 2/3 of the readings came out with water energy either in the form of the HP, cups, or strong water imagery within the cards even if the suit was not cups. This was a time to really lean in, trust ourselves, and begin to learn what intuition feels like.
If you are looking to help tap into that HP energy, I have followed the advice of The Spirit of Herbs and The Herbal Tarot and have been working with peonies. If you are into flower essences and tinctures, you may want to consider adding some white peony to your routine. *please always check with your medical professionals before consuming plants like this in case of reactions, etc. I am not a dr. Please use that beautiful noodle of yours responsibly!*
Another theme that stuck out was grief. The 5 of Cups, like the HP, came up in 25% of the readings as well. We are in some collective grief right now. I know that there are a lot of relationships ending or being strained. It feels like there is an onslaught of medical episodes and trauma happening left and right. I know that within my circle alone, there are 4 people with cancer right now. I know that people are losing or are on the cusp of losing loved ones in this moment. Grief is strong right now.
Every reading that had the 5 of Cups also had a strong message of self care, self nourishment, and comfort surrounding it in other cards. Grief is hard. Feel it. Process it. Lean on your support system(s). You don’t need to do this alone. You are held.
The Queen of Cups was another constant companion as I pulled cards for the community. With all of this intuitive and heavy energy around us, the Queen of Cups is here to remind us to take care of ourselves. Stop pushing so hard. Tune into your body. Mother/Parent yourself. Tap into your intuition. We usually do this most easily by being in a state that is not triggered, that is relaxed, that is open. Self-care is vital for being able to hear what is being said, see what is being shown.
I don’t use the phrase self-care lightly, as I am a teacher, and that is always being thrown at us in the most victim blaming way. It’s as if the district’s lack of respect is our fault because we don’t have the time or energy to take care of ourselves in the most basic ways.
I say self-care to you with love, with care, with kindness. This is not a reprimand nor a shame or guilt trip. This is the encouragement to do what you need in order to get through these hard times. I love you.
The final card and energy that made multiple appearances what the Ace of Swords. In general, there was quite a bit of energy from cards talking about changes, new beginnings, starting over. It is never too late to start. This full moon was bringing out the clarity, especially when we consider the presence of HP.
After a lot of this heavy energy, it was a nice to see so many Aces. There is hope out there, friends. There are new ideas, new expressions of self, and there is always time to learn, grow, and expand our learning and knowledge around the things we are passionate about. To me, the Ace of Swords is very Aquarian. It is the lighter side of the HP while the Queen of Cups and 5 of Cups are the heavier sides.
The Herbal Tarot is one of my favorites to use, especially when reading for others. The imagery is pretty traditional, but different enough to be able to do intuitive readings a little more easily (for me at least). Plus, you can buy this amazing book for only $10, and it tell you so much about the plants on each card. I have this book as a physical copy, and I even paid for the Kindle copy so I could have it with me at all times. That is how much I love and use this book as a guide. I also love it for the affirmations. Each reading I do for people gets the associated affirmation for each card pulled for them. *Again, the disclaimer of do your own research, talk to your medical teams, etc.*
I am going to leave you with the affirmations from the cards we discussed today.
High Priestess: I open my heart to the answers that lie within me. I see the perfection and unity of all things.
Five of Cups: From my losses, I gain the experience to create a brighter tomorrow.
Queen of Cups: I receive satisfaction and joy in sharing the cup of my beingness with another.
Ace of Swords: I use the clarity of my thoughts to bring me peace and illumination.
How is your heart? How are you feeling after this full moon? Did any of this resonate with you?
Wishing you well this weekend! May your life offer what you need in this moment.
With love,
Aventurine ✨
